Quiz: Am I Asexual? Or Just Not Interested?

Asexuality is a sexual orientation characterized by the absence or extremely low level of sexual attraction to other people, regardless of their gender. It’s not a choice, a phase, or the result of trauma – it’s an innate orientation, just like heterosexuality or homosexuality. The asexual spectrum includes variations like gray-asexuality (rare attraction) and demisexuality (attraction only after deep emotional connection). This asexual quiz can help you explore whether you fall on this spectrum.

Common signs the quiz evaluates include absence of sexual attraction to people (though you may appreciate beauty aesthetically), misunderstanding of sexualized humor and flirting, viewing sex as an optional activity rather than a necessity, and difficulty understanding concepts like “chemistry” or instant passion. It’s important to distinguish between sexual and romantic orientations – asexual people can still experience romantic attraction to any gender, or be aromantic.

If you’ve felt “different” in conversations about sexual attraction or wondered why you’re uninterested in sexual relationships, this quiz offers a starting point for reflection. Remember that only you can determine your orientation, and the quiz is simply a tool for self-analysis.

Lemme clear something up y’all, sexuality has nothing at all to do with how you dress, what you listen to, and especially not what you eat

im 13 and im not sure if thats too early to be sure if im asexual? everything ive looked at points towards that im asxual. i dont want to go through the whole hassle of coming out just to have to change my mind again. i really like someone (im bi and i havent come out since whilst i do like a girl, im pretty sure she’s straight so i dont have to deal with it for a while) who is a boy but not sexually. its going ok- my friends think he likes me back and people have mentioned it but i’m cynical and self-hating so… but since i wont have to do sexual stuff for 3 years at least then i could still date him and not mention it, since such a low amount of secondary school relationships last we’d probably break up anyway and it’d be grand.

age doesn’t have anything to do with orientation. you can absolutely use the label asexual if it feels right to you, love. and you don’t have to figure everything out immediately, take your time. if asexual feels like a good label right now, you can use it and if you choose not to, that’s fine as well. plus, identity is fluid; you don’t have to stick to any label forever (and you also aren’t required to use any label at all)
